Privacy Policy
The Commish ("the app") is operated by Data X You ("we", "us"). This policy describes what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account information. Your email address (used to sign in and to send sign-in codes), and if you sign in with Google, the email and basic profile Google shares for authentication.
Profile information you provide. A display name, an optional team name, and an optional payment handle (such as a Venmo username) that you choose to share so league members can pay you. Payment handles are visible to members of your leagues.
League content you create. Feed posts, votes, punishment terms and digital signatures, dues records entered by your commissioner, league records, and photos you upload as punishment proof. This content is visible to members of the league it belongs to. Punishment records, signatures, and league history are designed to be a permanent record of the league and remain after members leave.
Device information. A push notification token, if you allow notifications, used only to deliver league notifications such as dues reminders.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or government identification. The app never holds or transfers money; payments happen entirely in third-party apps such as Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal (see the Terms of Service).
How we use information
- To operate the app: sign-in, league membership, dues tracking, votes, and the features you use.
- To send notifications you or your commissioner configure, such as dues reminders.
- To send sign-in code emails.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising.
Service providers
- Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage; hosted in the United States)
- Expo (push notification delivery)
- Google (optional Google sign-in)
- Resend (sign-in code and transactional email delivery)
Each provider processes data only to provide its service to us.
Who can see your content
League content is visible to the members of that league. Punishment proof photos are stored privately and served only to league members through expiring links. Nothing you post in a league is public.
Your choices
- Notifications can be turned off in your device settings.
- Profile information can be edited in the app.
- Account deletion is available in the app under Profile. Deleting your account removes your sign-in, email, profile, and push tokens. Your display name remains on league records you were part of (such as signatures, seasons, and archived punishments), consistent with the permanent-record purpose of those features. If you want specific content removed, ask your league commissioner or contact us.
Data retention
League content is retained as long as the league exists. Deleting a league permanently deletes its content. Account data is deleted when you delete your account.
Children
The Commish is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it. Fantasy league dues involve real money between adults; leagues are expected to be composed of adults.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note the new effective date here and announce it in the app.
